Recognition to the new University by various national bodies

The Vice Chancellor initiated steps to seek recognition from various national agencies, University Grants Commission, Veterinary Council of India, Indian Council of Agricultural Research, Association of Indian Universities, and Indian Agricultural Universities Association etc. It is satisfying that the newly established university could get various recognitions as under:

• Association of Indian Universities, New Delhi - 1^st April 2001

• Indian Agricultural Universities Association, New Delhi - 28^th June 2002

• University Grants Commission, New Delhi - 8^th August 2002

• Indian Council of Agricultural Research, New Delhi - 20^th November 2001

• Veterinary Council of India vide notification in the 27th December 2002 Government of India Gazette.

This has been an important milestone achieved in a year's time.
