First Executive Council and First Academic Council meeting

The Executive Council (Governing body) of the University was formed on 6^th January 2001, while the Academic Council was constituted on 24^th September 2001.

• The meeting of first Executive Council (Governing body) was held on 22^nd January 2001. The meeting was attended by Dr. A.T. Sherikar, Vice Chancellor and Ex-officio Chairman and members, Shri D.V. Kolte, Commissioner, Dairy Development, Shri. Suresh Yadwadkar, Commissioner, Animal Husbandry, Shri. Appalwar, Commissioner Fisheries Development, Dr. S. Ayyapan, Director of Central Institute of Fisheries Education and nominee of the Chancellor. Dr. Deepak Mhaisekar, Registrar and Ex-Officio Secretary of the Executive Council convened the first E.C. meeting. Many important decisions pertaining to progress and development of the University were taken.

• The meeting of first Academic Council was held on 31^st October 2001. The meeting was attended by Vice Chancellor and Ex-officio Chairman, Deans of the faculties of Veterinary Science and Dairy Technology and Registrar as Ex-Officio Secretary of the Academic Council. The Associate Deans of all the constituent colleges participated in the meeting as invited members.
